Make It Classroom: Basic Tool Use and Safety, 2/22/23

Event Registration
Want to get started with DIY, but not sure where to start?

If you want to learn to sand a vintage dresser or hammer a nail (and not your thumb), hands-on instruction is best, and safety is key. Join Rob and learn some hand and power tool basics. We'll cover drills, nail and staple guns, saws, routers, and lots in between, so you can start building or repair your favorite chair!

Rob Varney has 50 years of experience making and repairing furniture. He currently works at the Rusty Raven, restoring antiques and creating custom pieces. His favorite experience is anticipating what challenge will come into the shop next. Rob believes if he can do it, he can teach you to do it.
